Fearing the Panopticon of Social Networks
Bruce Nussbaum observes, in a brief blog entry, that social network sites are beginning to put up up silos around social media. The implication is that this online world, like the now recorded world of the street, is part of a controlled space, a panopticon, where one can never be sure that someone is watching, or will watch at some point in the future.
